π₯ The Gifts of the Holy Spirit β Each One Explained
Apostleship βΒ The ability to pioneer new works and plant churches. Apostles are sent ones β carrying authority to establish the Kingdom in new territory.
Prophecy β The ability to receive and declare a word from God that speaks directly to a person or situation. It must always align with Scripture. This is not fortune-telling β it is God speaking through a surrendered vessel.
Teaching β The supernatural ability to explain and apply Scripture in a way that produces real understanding and transformation. Teachers help people encounter God through His Word.
Wisdom β Knowing what to do with what you know β and when. The Spirit-given ability to apply biblical truth to real situations with clarity and sound judgment.
Knowledge β The ability to receive information through divine revelation about a person or situation β given to bring healing, deliverance, or encouragement.
Faith β Not saving faith β every believer has that. This is an extraordinary, Spirit-given confidence that trusts God for the impossible and prays bold prayers.
Healing β The ability to be used by God as an instrument of restoration β physical, emotional, or spiritual. The gift-holder is not the healer. God is.
Miracles β The ability to perform acts that go beyond the natural order β signs and wonders that confirm God’s power and draw people to faith.
Discernment β The ability to distinguish between what is from God, the flesh, or the enemy. This gift protects the Church from deception.
Tongues β The ability to speak in a language unknown to the speaker β either a human language not learned or a heavenly prayer language used in intercession.
Interpretation of Tongues β The companion gift to tongues β the ability to interpret what was spoken so the Church can receive and understand the message.
Evangelism β The Spirit-given passion to share the Gospel in a way that moves people toward Jesus. Evangelists carry an urgency for the lost that most people do not.
Shepherding (Pastoring) β The ability to care for, protect, and nurture a group of believers over time β through the hard seasons, not just the good ones.
Exhortation β The ability to come alongside someone struggling and call out what God sees in them β with encouragement, correction, and hope.
Leadership β The ability to cast vision and rally people around a God-given purpose with clarity and conviction.
Administration β The ability to organize, structure, and execute β turning vision into reality through systems and follow-through.
Giving β The Spirit-given desire to give generously and strategically to advance the Kingdom β with joy, not obligation.
Mercy β The ability to feel what hurting people feel and respond with compassion and practical care. People with this gift are drawn to the broken and overlooked.
Hospitality β The ability to create environments where people feel seen and welcomed. This is not just hosting β it is making people feel like they belong.
Service (Helps) β The ability to identify practical needs and meet them β quietly, faithfully, without needing recognition.
