POWERFUL CHRISTIAN

Becoming the Powerful Christian Jesus meant for You to be!

Powerful Christian

Right now, you are either a citizen of Heaven or a citizen of Hell. For those adults who have yet to make a choice, you are under the citizenship of Hell. Sounds harsh, I know. But that’s why God had to send His Son Jesus here. Prior to Jesus coming to earth, you did not have a choice. Everyone was subject to Hell due to Adam and Eve’s disobedience to God. But now, God has given you a choice. One does not decide their citizenship when they get there. This citizenship has to be done in advance…now, while you are still on earth. Whoever said that all roads lead to Heaven was not telling the truth. There is one road to Heaven and it has a very narrow gate. Jesus said, “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way” (Matthew 7:13). There is only one way to God and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). For those of us who have made the choice to follow Jesus, we represent Him here on earth. Jesus has given us power, promises and many benefits to bless us while fulfilling our purpose here on earth. This book is about becoming the Powerful Christian you were meant to be. All Christians have power through their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who has been given all authority by God, Himself. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me” (Matthew 28:18). Most Christians either don’t know what power they have or how to use it. Read Powerful Christian and become the Powerful Christian Jesus meant for you to be!

When God sees Christians…He sees Jesus’ covering on us. Therefore, God doesn’t see our righteousness which is filthy as rags (Isaiah 64:6). God sees His Son Jesus’ righteousness on us. This is wonderful news because in our previously sinful state, we were separated from God. But Jesus made the way for us to be reconnected with our Father God. Why is this important?? God wants to talk with you daily. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit love hearing about your day…the good things that happened as well as the bad. They want to know what you think about your life, your friends and family situations, your jobs, your dreams, your setbacks and pretty much everything else. They also love when we ask for Their help. When Jesus ascended to heaven shortly after His resurrection, He sent a Helper and Counselor for us called the Holy Spirit. “And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him [Jesus], the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord” Isaiah 11:2. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I [Jesus] have said to you” John 14:26. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” Acts 1:8.

GOD

LOVES

YOU

Yes, it’s true!! God loves you so much that He sent Jesus to come to earth to pay for your sins. Why?? Because God wants to have a relationship with you! Jesus, God’s Son, is called the 2nd Adam. And because Jesus perfected the work that needed to be done through His death and resurrection, we now have Jesus as our High Priest in which we can now all come before the Throne of Grace and speak directly with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Share Jesus with your friends!

How do we share Jesus with our friends? We tell them all of the great things God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit do for us on a regular basis! I usually start out saying something like, “You know how great God is… He blessed me by doing ______ for me today!! Thank You Jesus!!” Jesus often surprises me with special blessings! I look for them and expect God to show me His greatness everyday! When God does great things for us, that’s called our testimony! When unbelievers see Jesus doing great things for you over and over, blessing you and helping you to overcome situations, they are going to want Him to do great things for them too. They will see that you have a connection with God and will want you to pray for them in situations. Be proactive though! Pray for them when they are trying to get a job, interviewing for a job, going through a health concern or any other kind of concern. I’ve prayed for friends who have wanted jobs before and I’ll ask them, what do you want in regards to income, benefits, hours, etc. Usually, they get what we pray for. With one friend that I prayed for, we specified the income and hours she wanted. God gave her exactly what we prayed for!! Needless to say, she was so excited. It’s so exciting to see her faith increase tremendously in the Lord!

Your faith will increase as you see Jesus working in your life as well in the life of those that you pray for. How should you pray? The Bible says to enter in His gates with thanksgiving and praise! Always start your prayer with thanking God for something He’s done for you and/or the person that you are praying with. Then share what is on your and/or their heart and the request you need from God. It helps if you will attach a promise scripture to support what you’re asking for in the prayer. (Most bookstores, drug stores or even Walmart have these prayer scriptures for less than $5. It’s well worth the investment.) Then complete your prayer in Jesus’ Name. Jesus said “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:13-14). Then thank God again for answering the prayer. The answer may come right away or it may take a while. However, God will always answer. These are great opportunities to share the testimony to others. Make sure you leave out the person’s name unless they say it’s ok to share it. But always share the victories that God gives you with others. This will increase your faith and others in what God can and will do for us because He loves us!!

As a Christian, YOU are blessed and highly favored of God! God’s Promises are for you! Claim them verbally every day and see your life become more blessed and transform right before your eyes!

God has great and wonderful plans for you! “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
